On 10th August 2019, a team of FAIR-SPACE and RAIN Hub researchers at the University of Liverpool hosted their second day of Lego Rovers workshops at the Liverpool World Museum, which has been celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landings.

The workshops introduce children to the basics of autonomous robotics by experimenting with the communication delays between the Earth and other planets, and learning how to program their Lego robots to react to the environment around it.

Each of the day's four workshops was busy and energetic, with a mixture of excited children and fascinated parents. We had visitors from Merseyside and from farther afield like Scotland, the Isle of Wight, and even Spain.
