On Thursday 6th June 2019, FAIR-SPACE Researcher, Dr Matthew Bradbury, presented at an Ethical Hackathon at the Royal Holloway, University of London Cyber Security CDT, which was organised by ORBIT on responsible research and innovation (RRI) in cyber security for space systems.

The talk presented cyber security research being undertaken at the University of Warwick in collaboration with the University of Liverpool as part of the FAIR-SPACE hub. PhD students within the CDT were then asked to present a hypothetical future space system and discuss measure to ensure responsible research and innovation, for which Matthew was invited to join the judging panel.

Three prizes were awarded on technical content, cyber resiliency and RRI. The event provided many great opportunities to discuss cyber security issues in space and how to perform responsible research and innovation.
