FAIR-SPACE is proud to be sponsoring the 2019 School Robot Competition.

The School Robot Competition is a national competition and is a joint project of the UK-RAS Network and Twinkl

Open to all UK schoolchildren and students aged from 8 – 14, the competition introduces the idea of robotics for space exploration and support of future planetary missions through the designing and programming of a robot to complete a science mission on another planet. The aim of the competition is to inspire and engage young people in the science of robotics and space exploration, and to foster interest in STEM subjects.

Robots will be assessed on their ability to complete the challenges and how quickly they traverse them, with the most successful judged by a panel of experts to select the best overall designs.

Click here to download the app and information packs via the School Robot Competition website. The competition will run until the 9th June (although anyone can download the app and have a go at building their own robot!).

Additionally, a free FAIR-SPACE Robotics Fact Sheet is available to download from the Twinkl website, please click here to view.

Exciting prizes will be awarded to the winning entries at the International Robotics Showcase in London on Thursday 27th June 2019.
